Soon, 40% of the workforce will be comprised of Millennials, a cause-driven and hyper-connected generation who expect the workplace to fit all of their expectations, which happen to differ greatly from other generations. We’ve already learned that millennials care more about giving back than receiving credit for their work. Taking this research one step further, we found that, 70% of Millennials count “giving back and being civically engaged” as their highest priority. [IVEY]
This means that to the overwhelming majority of Millennials, making the world a better place is more important than any aspect of their career or life. It is almost as if we have been hard-wired to do good above all else.
